Catcher in the Rye Blog 1
Surprisingly (to me atleast) I'm really enjoying this book so far. Most other books that our school has to read bore me and I can honestly say, I don't really read them. But from the first couple of pages from Catcher, I was truly intrigued by the story. I really like the realness of the book and how Salinger wrote the story like he was speaking it. I think people could relate to the way Holden acts and thinks towards the world around him. I haven't finished the entire book yet, but from where I am, I know it's going to be a great story.

haha you admitted you never really read. :]
but this is really good.
love youuu!
I totally disagree with you Gabby. At first I thought this book was like really awesome and that it couldn't get too much better was exactly when the book went downhill. He's so phony I can't take it. He criticizes all these people for being "a bunch of phonies" and yet he's the big phony. He is totally out of line all the time. He's always getting kicked out of school and I think the least is that he could try to do well in school. He is so fake and he drinks and smokes to give other's the impression that he's older. He even goes as far as pointing out the fact that he has gray hair. It's totally ridiculous.
