I really like the book so far, but I also feel that the story is dragging on. When Salinger proposes a problem in the book, he begins to elaborate on it and then switches the focus to another story. Then he says something along the lines of "Anyway, I was talking about....". I enjoy reading the stories of Holden's past, but I feel like it's sometime irrelevant.

Surprisingly (to me atleast) I'm really enjoying this book so far. Most other books that our school has to read bore me and I can honestly say, I don't really read them. But from the first couple of pages from Catcher, I was truly intrigued by the story. I really like the realness of the book and how Salinger wrote the story like he was speaking it. I think people could relate to the way Holden acts and thinks towards the world around him. I haven't finished the entire book yet, but from where I am, I know it's going to be a great story.
